This song is about being told you're great at everything you do, never being criticised or challenged on your work. Then, suddenly, someone does criticise you and your efforts leaving you devastated having never dealt with this before. It's about being honest with people to help them grow as a person socially, creatively and professionally.
lyrics
(Verse 1)
All my life I've been told the same 'Well done, you've done so well'
Tried so hard to please all of you
Succeed and receive your love
I don't know how it feels to fail
I hope that you're not dissapointed
(Bridge)
I can't help but feel so vulnerable inside--
(Chorus)
Me!
Yes I feel it, working inside of
Me!
Is it real or some kind of fiction
Save me
(Verse 2)
Working for perfection always trying to be the best
Then someone destroys all that you work for
With just their words
(Bridge 2)
I can't help but feel so vulnerable inside me
Come and try
(Middle)
Tear at me now
I can handle it
Build my walls high
Try to tear them down
