This song is about being told you're nothing, being told you're weird and strange. Being ostracised for your talents and efforts is an awful feeling, but I sing about making something of yourself and feeling proud that you had haters to motivate you to do better. But, just because we're thankful for their spiteful actions, it doesn't mean we forgive them.
lyrics
(verse 1)
I find myself where I want to be
And I've made it all on my own
This whole time you were in front of me
But you'll be the first to see that I'm not
What was it you said I was?
Well I throw it back at you
I'm going to hear you say those words again
They'll show you who you are
(Chorus)
And they despise me
(They despise)
Annihilate me, I tumble down this hole
(Alone)
I find out that this is just how it should be for me
But I've grown now
(I have grown now)
And I'll show them, I look down from the sky
(The sky)
You all look so small from where I'm standing
(Verse 2)
Now they see I'm exactly where I wanna be
They don't know but they helped me reach the top from where I was
Now they see I'm exactly where I wanna be
Even though they helped me find my way
I can't help but feel just so enraged
(Breakdown)
DIE, BURN IN HELL
I CAN'T FORGIVE YOU FOR THE PAIN
DIE, BURN IN HELL
I CAN'T FORGIVE YOU FOR THE PAIN
FOR THE PAIN
(Verse 3)
But I am not alone
Surrounded by those who were hurt by your words
And we thank you for all the pain
We one you are none and that's how it stays
So we all thank you
(Chorus)
And they despise me
(They despise)
Annihilate me, I tumble down this hole
(Alone)
I find out that this is just how it should be for me
But I've grown now
(I have grown now)
And I'll show them, I look down from the sky
(The sky)
You all look so small from where I'm standing
(Ending)
DIE, BURN IN HELL
I CAN'T FORGIVE YOU FOR THE PAIN
DIE, BURN IN HELL
I CAN'T FORGIVE YOU FOR THE PAIN
